TV function in UK
Thinking about ticking the TV option box for those moments when early for a meeting, waiting for wife etc.
However I have heard that the functionality of it is very hit and miss and that the signal is far from consistent.
So, does it work and is it worth it or is it really just a waste of money?

What you've heard is true. As it's Digital you only really get a good signal if you're in a wide open space or parked next to a transmitter. This option was already fitted to my car, but i'd not pay money to tick the box.
I have had a TV tuner in 3 of my cars and used it about half a dozen times in total, complete waste of time imho. You can get a DVD player fitted that plays on the i-drive screen and a fold down screen for the rear for about the same money.
