I've been posting on several threads about this but can't seem to get an answer so I started a new thread.

Has anyone tried turbocharging their 525i? Any write ups/reviews/dynos... is it even worth it? The engine bay seems a little tight yes, but Im sure two tiny turbos would work somehow?

Can't find any Youtube videos or common threads on this subject either. Someone point me in the right direction or link!

Maybe this: http://www.ststurbo.com/ if you want to be a guinea pig.

They have universal turbo (new system not like any turbo) for any car.

WOW so nobody has even attempted to turbocharge their 525??? hmmmm... well I guess it makes sense because you figure they bought the 525 to be more fuel efficient, plus if they were going to spend that kind of money on a turbo kit they might've just gotten a 530 - 550... Haha great! I just answered my own question. lol

But for someone who's had their 525 for awhile, wouldn't they have gotten tired of the lack of power down the road? That's where im at right now! I could use a an extra 100 bhp

The prices I see 545i at now....Seriously been trying to sell my car and get one. NO POINT in getting it turboed unless its a good price. Plus theres sooooo many problems with them. However...if you could put a 535i turbo in that was junked...id say go for it.

What kinds of problems on the 525i compared to the other 5ers? could you ellaborate please?

I agree with you on the part about the 545s being more affordable now, but im merely asking for someone who wants to upgrade what they already have without selling and buying a new 5er.

I have good friends that own a turbo charged shop called (www.SpeedForceracing.com) which is who I do marketing and design work for, so I'm positive that I can get a great price on a kit just paying for parts alone and free labor on fabrication. I just want to see what kinds of set-ups have ALREADY been made and what kinds of numbers are being put out, but if none..I might be the guniea pig here.

I can easily get 20 bhp more just by adding exhaust, intake, sprint booster, ecu remap, etc... but id like to see a 525 hit close to the 300 bhp range now that would be nice.
