Default Trying to replace 4300k with 6k but Im stack

Just bought the 07 E60 550i 40k miles. Kept my E39 530i M pkg and this is not as complicated as the E60.

I thought I was on the right track but I am completely wrong, I think. I ordered D2s but the the bulb will not come off the igniter, where do I go from here. I have attached a pic of the igniter.

Any suggestions are very welcome.

they look like d1s to me ... i just changed mines on my 2010 550i and they look exactly the same as those *d1s bulbs*

Its D1s on the E60. Complete bulb with iginiter.

2004 545i here with a D2S bulb. I have factory bi-xenon adaptive headlights. I believe when the LCI came out it switched from D2S to D1S bulbs. D1S bulbs have a built-in igniter and cost more usually.

Incorrect. Switching from D2S to D1S occurred after 2004. Only 2004s have D2S.

Hmm interesting, I remember reading somewhere it was on the LCI but oh well. Not sure why they switched to D1S though.
