Only pros to getting a finisher IMO. I NEVER use the keyhole. It looks a lot cleaner with a trunk finisher.

EDIT: Also, keep searching the classified section of these forums for a used one that is already painted the color of your car. I saved a TON that way, and there were only minor imperfections that i buffed out and covered with some touch up paint. Something to consider if money is an issue.

I have never had this problem and have had my trunk finisher for almost 3 years now.

That clinches it for me. I really like the look and as long as there are really no issues with the TF, I'm good to go. I found a pretty good price on www.getbmwparts.com for $170.00 and it's an OEM part. All I need to do is have it painted.
