No, this isn't a continuation of the "How do I download the CD?" thread. I'd actually like to purchase a copy - does anyone know how to get the version for the 2008 535i, if such a thing exists?
If not, does anyone know if the bmwtis.com site has all the information for that model?
Thanks!

The bmwtis.com site is always up to date. It's BMW's official site so it has to have the latest information.
You can keep an eye on eBay for disc based versions but be careful of the TIS disc's date. I've seen plenty of misleading auctions out there that make you think you're getting a set of discs that are current only to find some small print that the TIS disc is much older...

Can those be purchased directly on the TIS site or from BMW directly some other way? I didn't see anything on the TIS site, but I don't have a subscription (yet).

However, it seems like nobody knows how to buy these things, or at least the 2008 E60 version.

Illegal? I am not a car repairer, I am not a dealer or body shop. I have it only for private use and actually more for curiosity as I will never do any reparation on the car. So far I used it only to glue the model badge in the right position.
