Thoughts on replica wheels
#11
I agree for the large majority of replicas, but Velocity makes its own designs-other than CSL reps, they are not replcias of the M6/5 wheels or anything. I have the velocities, they have had no balance issues from day 1, no vibration, no paint chipping after a year and one winter fulll of slush. I have hit some potholes with 19i inch low side wall tires, and have not cracked or broken them
I can vouch only for my experience.
Also depends on how long you keep them-I am betting OEM last longer-I do not know this forsure.
I have heard a lot of bad things about MIRO
THe other ones I had personally good experience were Beyern. They are made by very high quality long reputation-TSW-if you will read about them they make wheels for F1 cars and very high ends stuff-beyern is just their bmw only subsidary.
So Beyern would be the highest quality of them all IMO-however I hate their styles and they are HEAVY-I had a pair of 18s and they were 2 pounds heavier than the 123s which already are heavy.
Velocity in 19s were 7 pounds less per wheel than the 123's
Atleast for me when I am buying things I want them to keep or better performance-not worsen it

I am thinking about getting m5 replica wheels but I'm not sure about the build quality of replica wheels and whether or not I should purchase replicas. Thanks

DON'T DO IT! The M5 reps are especially bad in quality. The last thing anyone needs is to risk a terrible ride with cheap rims.
dont get em!!!! (2cents)
