After a while, the handling and ride characteristics became rough and unbearable. Then, got married. Sold the car. Bought Audis, Infinitis, etc.
After a series of a few Audis, I sold my wife's A4 and bought her a 3-series.

She fell in love with the car and would never let me sell it. Then it came to me why I thought I hated Bimmers. It's because of the rough ride caused by my former car that I slammed.
Bought a 5'er with sports package afterwards. It's not as lowered as most people here but I get to drive the car with more confidence. Plus I get to enjoy the way BMW designed the suspension.

These cars were designed and engineered to perfection (I'm talking about the confidence-inspiring handling, and yes I'm talking about stock sports suspension).

The only thing I would change (that have an affect to the handling) will be the rims and tires.

Nothing wrong but slammed cars - but I will never settle for "all show but no go" ever again. Just my humble opinion.
BTW, looks good but not my cup of tea.
thanks for the input, but these cars are all go as well, its just a different type of go, its a different type of handling

i slammed on my JICs and i take corners like a madman that i would never do in my regular bmw suspension

that aggressive stance isn't for everyone but i love it, if the guy can get away with that setup and not rub then job well done to him, not many e60 owners have that setup which is a good thing IMO, yes it might make it a bit more challenging to drive as a dd but looks like he has an e46 as well so he should be good.

That camber is wack, not feeling it at all. Just because something is totally different doesn't meen it is good

I'd not get a stanced car as the only car, and I have no idea how people DD them. I do like some of them, but with me its on a case-by-case basis. Some look unbelievably awesome, others - meh, not my cup of tea.

When it comes to modding preferences though, I want my BMW to look like it came the way it is from the factory - I don't want people to look at it and know that there are any aftermarket parts on it (unless its people who know what's up ).

You want to see a crazy offset? Check out my buddies Z, he just put these rims on, they are INSANE. They have like a 8inch lip.

Thats an insane setup. The crazy offset's suit that car much better then the Bimmer due to the roundness of the body.

I honestly don't know how he drives around, hes like less than a inch off the ground. Rims are like 18or19x13 with a negative offset.

you can run setups like that all day as long as you dont have retarded camber and have better bushings, bearings and joints
