Hi Board Buds,
I saw the wind deflector accessory at Pacific BMW site. Wondered if anyone is using it and if it materially cuts down on wind noise when the roof is open...?

I had one on my S80 Volvo and it worked fairly well. Nothing dramatic but it was relatively quiet when used...Let me know?

Thanks!

Mark

Check out the cars in the members photo gallery section. I have never seen a car pic on these discussions with one. I would not do one, personally, even if it would completely silence the wind noise--unless it somehow was easily removed when I didn't want the roof open. How are they installed/removed?

Exactly! I used one on a 1980 M-B 450 SEL and an 1984 Toyota Supra.

Sure, the wind noise was cut down dramatically but they look silly these days...

Given the potential for problems with the E60 sunroof (of which mine just started yesterday), I think I'd pass. These things have got small mounting brackets in the sunroof channel, be careful.

Good old Supras...it's neat that you still have yours Eric.

In addition to my '84 Supra, I had a '79 Supra -- I always loved them but I don't miss them much these days...
