I'm also on the lookout for new tires, so I believe this thread would be useful to other people on the forum as well
My current summer tires setup is Conti SportContact 2 and I'm sort of pleased with them, but they're pretty close to EOL and I'm looking to change them with something else.
My previous car (fwd drive ~300hp and 500 Nm) came out with Conti SC2 from factory and I replaced them with Bridgestone Potenza Re050A after running out a 2nd set of Contis. I was quite pleased with Re050A from Bridgestone. The tire itself felt a bit softer than the SC2, but traction from start felt a lot better. The Contis were great once warmed up, especially at high speed cornering, but the only thing that could warm up that tire was speed - not the ideal city tire, but quite good for highway/speedy curvy roads. The Contis also had terrible aquaplaning (hydroplaning?) qualities, where the Bridgestones felt rock solid when hitting deep water.
I was thinking of getting a set of Re050A's for my '06 550i as well, but it seems I won't be able to get a hold of those here, because no one has the 275/30/19 size in stock![](https://5series.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/thumbsdown.gif)
I'm curious if anyone has any impressions on the RE-11 or S001?

And thanks - I always try to spice up my threads with at least some usefulness haha

I'm 99% decided on the NT05's - will be looking out for some deals. Not sure whether to get the tires first or get the dampers - but my stock dampers are still okay

PS RE-11's seem to have GREAT reviews, but are more money and wear out quicker than the NT05's.
