Guy's help I test fit my newly powder coated style 166 and after mount I have a gap between the tire and fender. I went with 245/35/19front and 275/30/19 rear help! :unsure: Oh 07 530i

what "GAP" are you referring to? height between top of wheel and fender or you feel your wheels do not flush with fenders?
Ok what are your offets on the wheel? Should have a number like ET20 stamped on the back. And take a photo so we know what you're talking about. Please don't tell me you bought wheels and tires and didn't even test fit them before you powder coated them and had some rubber mounted and balanced. |

Lol no I knew what I was buying. But no I just wanted to see what it looked like. While I was waiting on my tpms to come. But I have them on now and it looks great. But I have a little vibration. I'm wondering has anyone had to use shims on non oem style 166. I got them free so wasn't stressing about them being oem. But it does make a difference. I'd rather have oem. But as far as the shims I don't know where he bought the wheels from so I can't check to see if I will need shims.. I got a good static balance. But still has slight vibration. :confused:

Attached you'll see the setup on my 06' 530 with Sport Suspension.
Wheels are OEM 166's 19 x 8.5 Front and 19 x 9.5 back Tires are: Front: Continental DW's 245/40/19 Rear: Sumitomo ZIII's 285/35/19 My fronts rub a little if i encounter a deep dip, but it's not too bad, and i think if i can get a little of the tread off, i won't have that issue anymore. I had some 12.5mm spacers on the rears, but those rubbed slightly when i got the new rubber on the back so I took them off. I might give them another try after the tires wear a little. Generally happy with the setup, the Continentals are a little soft on turn in, but I wanted some rim protection for my beauties! Thinking about 255/35/19's next time around, but I hope by then to have some KW Street Comfort coilovers installed to elimanate the gap that will leave... |

I added some additional full shots, but don't see them, maybe it takes a few minutes for them to upload
It really doesn't rub that often, and doesn't seem to be damaging anything, it hits the top inside of the fender well, just a little, enough to make ZING sound, but only when you hit a deep dip, and i've got 103,000 miles and worn springs and shocks. Another reason I want some KW's |

Maybe the pictures failed to upload try again, I have about 30-40k on B&G springs and 98k on the stock shocks. I'm going to eventually get coilovers but that's sometime next year. You have about 5k more miles then I do on my car. Thanks for posting pictures.
