M6 offset is the way to go, period. I don't even know what the hell BMW was thinking when they made the M5 the way it is with the wheel spacing in the rear. It looks like someone took a sledgehammer to the rear tire and shoved it 3" in. Then you look at the front tire and see how nice and flush it is to the fender and think to yourself: "wtf?".....

I have 172s on sport suspension. I added spacers for the rear. Looks good enough for me, so I didn't drop. Preferred not to deal with any of the hassles of lowering. I never need to worry about parking and scraping the front of my mtech kit.

if you have non sport then you should drop with eibach prokit at the least.
if you have the sport suspension then you are pretty good if you get 19s and 20s for wheels

I haven't seen it since then. And what's up with the chrome trim? thought you were taking it off???
