style 166 to drop car or not

Hello! Is it a must to drop car when coming from 18X8 style 123 to style 166 staggered 19X8.5 front 19X9.5 rear. I'm worried about gap created if car is not dropped. Car is 2006 530i sports. Thanks.

Get the wheels and put them on and if you dont like the looks after 1 week get the springs and drop it.

I too had the 123's on my 05 530i sport & now I have the 167's but I wasnt 100% satisfied with the looks on stock sport height. I would drop it if I were you, I cant wait to install my H&R's.

My car has the stock set up with 166s and I think it looks fine...............

128's on sport package, no need for lowering. the car looks nice on sport .

I have m166 non sport package, and It does need to be lowered. I am contemplating on doing it this spring. My only concern is with the heavy snow we ocassionally get here in the winter.
