So I'm snagging a 2010 msport 535 in about a week. It comes with style 135 rims. Never really been a rim guy, plus I plan on doing jb4, dci, and lights first. 135's look like they might have potential but I was just seeing if anyone has ever seen them powder coated black. I tried google and searching the forums and came up with nothing

I think I have seen what you're talking about, but not quite. They were black powder coating on everything but the surface of the spokes. Shadow coating is what I think they were calling it. For sale on one of the forums, sorry I can't remember which.

The wheels are coated in BMWs standard silver metallic finish. I would imagine that you would need to have the finish removed in order to powder coat. Perhaps the powder coating place can media blast the wheels to remove the finish. Congrats on the purchase. I know first hand that you won't be disappointed.

[QUOTE=Anzafin;1526140]Style 135s are 18" wheels, so they would look very small in black, I think.
...not in matte black. 18" wheels look smaller if they´re gloss black, because gloss makes dissapear edges or generally shape as objects and light reflects differently than in matte things. I have matte black wheels and they don´t look any smaller than would in silver, or any brightern colour, but I´e also seen lots of gloss black 18" wheels, and those really looked smaller compared to my wheels.
