I definitely want it but I need someone to tune it. Or maybe even install it. I know how to tune. But do not know how to properly tune. Just dont like the fact my air filter is under my car. Still waiting for more info....

Apparently his car made 383hp to the wheels! Probably wasnt a 545/550..

It is a 530i I know the owner of that car who installed himself it and we contacted several times. He said it can be done perfectly on V8.... either single (big turbo) or twin turbo (small turbos).... Also it needs intercooler and oil cooler. they are mandatory as he said but STS guys said it is not necessary becasue it is a patented Turbocharger (mounted in the rear). So the costs STS Turbo kit + Intercooler + Oil cooler + etc will be arround $6000 in which is not bad or just get the kit without oil cooler and intercooler for starting.

Also he said better start with 6psi (safest) that means about 80-90 hp / 100 - 110 torque more. That guy tried with 18psi and got issues but not damaged the car. Also tested Dyno and got 383 whp! on 10psi.

I told him to join e60.net and he seems not interested.... I dunno why...

Definitely someone be a guinea pig and get the STS! and forget the VF!

John!

GET IT GET IT!! I wish I had $$$. My wife will cut my guts seriously if I buy it.

How about feeling the first STS turbo on 545i in the world! also put a badge in the trunk "M5 Eater"

If you want I have the email of the guy who installed STS turbo on his 530i He is the expert. PM me.

Also I will try to convince him to join e60.net again that he is not interested (I told him before).

whos going to tune my engine??

If I got the STS, I would leave it with maximum 6psi (the safest) that means the 545i will get around 425hp but the torque will be around 450. IF you want more power, you will need more tuning... such intercooler, oil cooler, Blow-off, etc....

SINGLE TURBO = 1 BIG TURBO

TWIN TURBO = 2 Small turbos.

both are good. I see you have single exhaust.... imo get the SINGLE TURBO. With Quad exhaust better with Twin Turbo.

Hmm, I also want more power but not enough $$ for a M5. I love turbo cars, Maybe a early bday gift wouldn't hurt.
