The only thing I suggest is, if the car is still under warranty, hold on to the OEM none staggered set in slight chance you end up having a problem and have to take it in for service.
Good Luck and Enjoy

Like all have stated, BMW has the staggered option on almost all of it's xi models, X5 included.....so anyone who suggests it's not meant to be is clueless.
Can't wait to see some pics, Mike!

I ran those exact wheels (staggered), with spacers, for 2 years on my 2007 530xi Sport. I never had a single problem. That's a really stupid thing for them to say. You should ask them this then...
"What about if I come in with an X5 4.8 Sport w/ 20" OEM Staggered Wheels?" Maybe we should call BMW and tell them they are making a big mistake offering an AWD vehicle with staggered wheels. Those BMW engineers sure are idiots. Hahahahahaha!
Or, you can ask Discount Tire to explain this:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...hg=36&fg=15
If you're not sure what you're looking at, these would be the OEM BMW 124 wheels made specifically for the 535XI. Please note the high offsets (esp for the rear) and the widths of each (staggered).
Uh oh, I guess those BMW engineers fucked up again. Hahahahaha! I love it when people bring up this topic. It cracks me up.

As a matter of fact, I called Gary to get pricing on that exact setup. Anyway, I don't want to beat a dead horse. I feel much better based on all your input....thanks to all who have replied, I do appreciate it.
