make sure its plugged in the right way. I felt really stupid as I was VERY sure i plugged it in the correct way. Just ... double check and check again ... its an easy mistake to make.

Reversed the connection and all was well

Mine did the same... I took it out and re-installed. Had error message but it went away after driving a little. If yours doesn't, I think the SB is at fault.
