My Ride: 2005 BMW 525D M-SPORT // Grey // SB attached
Default

I just received my SB and went to put it in but am having problems.

Once it was in, I noticed two lights come up (ARGHHH!!!)
The first was a triangle with and "A" in it I believe and it was encapsulated in a round arrow going from right to left
the next was the engine light

i gnored and watched
The engine is revving really high (near 2000) and the accelerator does not do anything now.
Also when I press the brake (stationary), the revs go back to normal as if theres no SB in there.

I took the SB out immediately, tested and all was fine although the engine light is still there (ARGGHH!!)
I make sure both terminals are clean and put them back in (making sure pins align) and pushed hard till a click.

But the same thing happened again !!

I am either doing something really wrong or the SB is faulty

can someone please advise if they got this before ... and also how to remove the engine light !

Thanks guys

you have the manual, auto or smg?
Just wanted to know if SB makes a big difference in the normal auto transmission

You still have to take the car to the dealer and have the engine light re-set. Even if the light has gone off.
Just tell them the gas cap wasnt screwed in all the way, and the light came on.
