Finally installed it this afternoon and went for a drive, both street and highway. My impression? Holy jeezus. Why didn't the car come this way from the factory? I mean this thing takes off. The throttle is crazy and keeps on wanting more. It's a fun change for the car, almost scary in a way. I was up in the 100s no problem -no jerkiness -no hesitation whatsoever. This thing is insane!

Installation was easy. It's usually a 5-minute job, but I wanted a clean look, so I opened the carpet a bit more, to stuff the sprint booster body and wires. You'd have to know you're looking for something down there to notice anything. Even if you stick your head by the footwell, you can't see the wiring. Took me 15 minutes to get it this way.

Time to order one for the wife's car...
That's great news! I like hearing this. Congrats, enjoy and welcome to the SB club!

Another great feedback!

So one of the guys on the M5Board tried the SB out and he said that although he liked the improved throttle, he said after 3/4 way, the last 1/4 of the pedal travel felt flat. I've never noticed but I don't think I've ever paid attention. Any of you guys experience this?
Of course this is the case. It is impossible to improve throttle response through the entire course range of the pedal movement. By increase throttle response early it is bringing the revs up higher earlier. ALl the SB does is basically input 30 percent response for every 10 percent pedal movement for example instead of 10 percent power for 10 percent movement. So by the time you have moved it 60 percent or what not-the full power has already been relayed to the engine and the further movement means nothing.

I just installed the SB, it took less than 10 minutes. I was trying to find a way to hide the wire but decided to leave it out as is. After I went for a quick test drive, all I can say is "If you don't have one, what are you waiting for?" BTW, this is my 1st mod ever to the E60. This mod is so easy and simple, you see the improvement instantly. Highly recommended.

Throttle response. Just like everyone said in this thread. I was skeptical at first but now I know what they meant.

I got it from the Group Buy Thread, which started a few weeks ago by Eurocarfan. He got us a deal from a distributor in Hong Kong. We paid $250 with shipping. I believe it normally sells for $300 (I don't think that includes shipping either).

However, he's now sold out of them. Member, Alpinewhite, is selling his though. It's brand new, never installed and I believe he wants $240. Here's the thread for that:

Good luck and make sure you get your hands on one of these ASAP. For the money, it's one of the best mods you can do for your car, that I've seen thus far.
