I have it all working but no heavy steering. I had no heavy steering even before coding, not sure why? Not too bothered as I have active steering anyway.

The 2 parameters in KGM ecu should be coded to wert_01 again for heavy steering.
GESCHWIN_WERTE_SPORT_KGM wert_01
STROMWERTE_SPORT_KGM wert_01

Regarding other SAT functions, can you see S1~S5 sign instead of M1~M6 on cluster display?

Spot on mate.

I think S1~S5 is due to gearbox software, it is not possible to get it without force flashing difference software on the gearbox ecu (only if it is compatible)

Hello guys.

I bought the cable D-CAN.

If someone can tell me how I can read the firmware (or at least firmware version) from ECU-gearbox of my car, I'll post the firmware in this topic

Waiting for your comments.

hermman,
First, install BMW standard tool v2.10.0, run SETUP
After that, run INPA > input chassis > select function > read AIF.
Then it will display all the informations.
ADR Gen.name SGBD ZB no. ECU family VIN Date
------------------------------------------------
00 ZGM KGM_60 922109 KGM60 VINxxx Date

There are a lot of info around the forum how to connect D-CAN cable to laptop USB.
Follow step by step carefully.

No display S1~S5 seems in some error state. The gearbox ecu is simply changed to another one as hermman showed.
I'm suspecting compatibility of EGS transmission itself installed in different models like 525i vs 535d.
What does it mean 'only it is compatible'?

I have checked by all means (DIS/INPA) and there are no errors stored or reported. When you say gearbox ecu it means gearbox ecu software or the control module physically changed. Hermann's change was done by someone else. If we can findout what exact firmware was flashed on the ecu then we can try that too. By compatibility I meant that if the gearbox hardware (including ecu) are the same (GA6HP26Z) then gearbox ecu software version is different across the different models. Technically we should be able to flash software from different model series if hardware is the same (GA6HP26Z gearbox).

I am not 100% sure on this as this remains a grey area as of now but I believe if I can get more information on what hermann's codierer flashed then I can try that too.

Hermann's please confirm your gearbox ecu details from INPA screen.

What I'm saying the error means is when the corresponding ECUs check the SAT functionality, if one of conditions is not matched, it falls in non-SAT mode.
That's why after coding 2TB FA, most of SAT functions are lost except heavier steering and sport sign display.
I guess hermman's INPA list will show just the confirmation of the already posted ZB No.
18 EGS 7592130 JobStatus VIN no. Date

AI001, how can I identify exact model name of gearbox, like GS6HP26Z or 6HP19?
One day, NavarroOne mentioned before.

In a given car model of a specific series (model year series combination) only one gearbox is used. e.g. all LCI 5 series and 6 series are based on GA6HP26Z gearbox up until new Fxx production. You can check this on realoem by giving your vin number. I am sure Tool32 will also show this but I have to try that first.

We need to know model year and series of hermann's car too. I will look into the details of 7592130 ZBNr later today.

Thx, Realoem says mine is 6HP19 in 525i 03/2007. Only 535d above has 6HP26.
