If that was to me, It's because I don't have enough posts her yet, so my PM is not available.

What do you mean with "pw"?

First off great job! On an LCI vehicle can you just do the coding to achieve the SAT mode. I don't plan to install the paddle shifters nor the new gear selector as good as it looks.

Cheers

It's all about the gear selector and the controller that it contains. You can't do anything without it.

Looks like I will be getting the gear selector and controller. I assume the paddle shifters are optional.

I assume this voids the CPO warranty and extended maintenance warranty.

I hope not!!!

I had a question, as I am having difficulty with the part numbers. I have an 08 550i with sport package but no SAT and I want to add it (obviously)..the part numbers I have are:

Sport Button: 6131914269
SAT Shifter: 61319208271
ECU: 61319204093
Console Cover: 51169123873

It seems the first 3 parts are somwaht universal but the console cover is interior dependant. I have the aluminum colored surround, so do I have the correct part number?

?51-16-6-960-879 Cover - gear selector (trim piece to accomodate shifter/sport button)

This is the aluminum trim w/leather. I tried to find info on the gloss black -873 part you refer to but was told it couldn't be ordered here in Canada.

I am sorry to be a pain about this but I have now gotten 3 differnt part numbers with three different prices. So I need the brushed aluminum console cover with the black leather (fake leather I am sure) to accomodate the sport swtich..The three part numbers I have now are:

51166960879 $144
51169123871 $77
51169123873 $73

I spoke with Tischer Parts, and they said I need the 871 part nunber, WPG550 (above) says I need the 879 part number..I hate to order the wrong one and then have to go through the whole process of exchanging it and paying shipping both ways..Has anyone that has done this gotten the correct part number and can tell me which one I should order? It's not that I don't trust Mr. WPG550, but I keep getting different guidance...Please help!!
