I am thinking of this upgrade because you can disconnect before doing any dealer maintenance thus keeping your warranting valid. For anyone who has it, are you pleased with this product?

Not may will go for it ... DO your research.....
JB+
JB3
Proceed
Dinan
That is what most of the tuned 535's are running. The JB3 and Proceed will give the most features and the biggest gains, Dinan most expensive, and JB+ works similar to SSTT but better gains, Word of wise: DO you know what the production date of your cars is or have you had any Software updates from BMW? It will matter.
for better research go to e90post.com in the turbo section ( same motor more frequent crazy tuner crowd ) Many people that get the SSTT end up getting some thing else from the group above listed...
Also the new Scan tool that can clear the data logs would be a wise investment too.

SSTT II is also going to be released soon...
the JB+ and SSTT plug into your tmap sensor, causing small boost increases....
to get even large boost increases you will need to get a piggyback tune as bigbadbull mentioned: the procede of jb3..as those also have built in timing and fuel pressure controls...
if you are going to get an sstt or jb+, it's best to buy a bavarian tool to clear and manip/tuner codes as those would void your warranty. Software version 29.2+ has tuner detectione software...
I have the jb+ because:
I have pre 29.2 software, so I can increase to maximum setting without worry fo throwing codes
I did not want to go into my ecu
I am very pleased with this product (jb+ cost is the same as a sprint booster, sstt will run you `$600)
***The jb+ IMO is a sprint booster that actually increases hp's (I cannot comment on the sstt), but a search will get you a few threads on it

If you want a simple tmap plug-in, get the JB+. The turbo tuner is old news.
