It seems like everyone has their own websites to sell spacers, grills, springs, etc.
Everyone sells the same exact stuff.
Are these all of those "earn more quick money" websites that you see in the infomercial???

Mostly run by dudes that made a simple site and work out of their house. When you call their 800 number, it forwards it to their cellphone! bwahaha

Then, they order it from the manufacturer or larger distributer after you ordered it at a premium since they keep almost nothing in-stock. They then have it shipped to them, then shipped to you, (or live close enough in the area to pick it up from a local shop. This is why so much of this is in California), and make a cut off you for basically ordering it from the source for you, thats about it. A lot of the time these little "vendors" must adhere to MAP pricing on these products to avoid price wars and keep prices jacked high to not devalue an item. Sprint Booster, for example, one of the biggest rip-off retail price vs. production cost items you can buy.

Just remember that whenever you buy something.... the price is never THE PRICE. Always bargain because in most cases the markup is at least 3.5x cost for non-brand name items and less for brand-name because of MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) prices.

Why would I want to unload the 172s?

I also keep getting PMs about people asking to buy my spacers and people who want to sell me new spacers.

Isn't there a different site called "Classified" for these kinds of posts?

This site is about mods and I had asked a question about the right size for spacers. I really appreciate the responses on those issues. Yes, I made a mistake in describing the proper numbers for my new wheels.

It really ruins the site when we have stalkers looking to use these sites for personal commercial reasons (personal sales).

Please keep your sales and requests for purchases in the "classified" section.

I took delivery on a 2010 550i.
It comes with the #167 wheels.
I had 20mm spacers on my old 530 with #166s (M5 style).
Are there any recommended spacer sizes for the 2010 550i wheels?
I never followed the offset analysis.

Any suggestions???
I have the same wheels on my 550 (172's) and had them on my previous 530 as well. I always felt the rear wheels weren't pushed out enough!

My concern is entirely with warranty issues. I've had some relatively major work done on my 530 under warranty and if there were any issues due to 3rd party accessories and warranty coverage was denied, it would of cost me a fortune to fix.

My 550 is still under factory warranty and after that, CPO warranty. Looking at your post, you have a new 2010....do you have any concerns with putting spacers?

I heard they can cause damage to the alignment or direction? Not sure if that's true but the thought of it makes me hesitate...have you looked into this?

I had 20mms on my 530i (which is the largest you can go). I had no problems. I have seen some make claims about problems on other sites to scare others, but not many here have reported any problems. If you think about it, a 15mm spacer is approximately 3/5ths of an inch. The total size of your hub bar is about 5 feet.
My car was leased, and so is this new one, so I am probably thinking differently.
As a side note, the warranty will only be harmed if they know you have spacers on the car....
I would go ahead an get some nice new spacers.
I am probably going to go with Rogue spacers (for a change from the H&R spacers).

Every wheel type is different because they have different offsets.
