Actually, I would totally get this if it was available as a retrofit. As a matter of fact, I have a friend who works with color-changing LEDs and so forth - I think I'm gonna ask him if he can custom-make something like this for me

I think the logo change is trying better chararcterize BMW's initial history as an aircraft engine manufacturing company. The logo on our cars today is supposed to resemble a propeller on a flying aircraft, the new logo is just a modern rendition of symbol. Interesting? Yes, but I'm old school, I like the original.

I love my rice bro but those emblems are just 2 scoops too many even for me! 
It may look cool tho if our monitors had the roundel instead of the idrive knob and maybe have it spin only after initial engine start up just for a second or 2.
