We were at this once again HUGE E60 meet at FBF. Came across Igor and saw his car with blacked out emblems. He told me about plasti dip. A nice paint called plastidip. Mask the area off with masking tape and put some oil or wax at the areas hard to mask. Spray it on and the plastidip should come off easily on areas that u have waxed. It comes off factory paint easily as long as ur car has been taken care off and doesnt feel like sandpaper.

That's pretty sweet...would it wear off after a while if you use it for shadowline?

I've used Plasti-Dip in place of a condom for years. Just spray it on and use small Swiss Army knife scissors (carefully) to cut overspary from pubes.

so are you suggesting to use this to cover the chrome trim and make it "shadowline" trim looking?

LOL. Calvin has GREAT imagination!!!

Whoever wants to try it, go for it for the shadowline. It wouldnt hurt! Much easier than masking the entire car. Still need to mask.

I would take the parts off rather then painting on the car. That sounds like it will turn out half assed.
