That may be a problem. You may have to get it painted afterwards. Remember that unless your car color matches an M5 color you will have to get it painted after it arrives.

OK Guys - here it is:

There are TWO part numbers for the M5 trunk lid cover:

51.13.8.030.419 - The cover, PRIMED ONLY

and

51.13.0.395.188 - The cover, PAINTED AND FINISHED!!!

If you are going to order the Painted and Finished version, you MUST specify the colour code when ordering.

Here is the PDF file showing the diagram and COMPLETE list of parts.

All the Best

NB: AFAIK, the trunk cover piece will fit regardless of country. There is no physical reason why it be so, the trunk lid itself is the same for regular E60s in any country...

Hi All

I have just checked with BMW GB about the availability and pricing of the following parts:

25.16.2.282.750 - M5 Illuminated Gear Knob (E60)

51.13.8.030.419 - M5 Trunk Lid Cover Primed and unpainted

51.13.0.395.188 - M5 Trunk Lid Cover PAINTED and finished

All these parts are listed in the latest ETK catalogue but NO PRICES have been setup for them yet. It doesn't look like these prices will be available until nearer the time of the actual M5 launch.

Also, there is no official word if these parts will be restricted purchases (to M5 owners only)

Sorry...

We'll all have to wait a little longer....

All the Best

I received a reply from BMW some time ago that all M5 parts are only for M5(VIN) owners during at least 2 years......

Hi Igor

Yes you are right but not necessarily in all cases: eg. I have the M5 steering wheel and shift levers. Possibly BMW in each country may have slightly different rules...

Cool. But I don?t get it.

When the part covers the keyhole, no one will ever have access to the keyhole.

You may need it for hotel function or if the central lock gets off-line.

No possivility to open the trunk manualy in the M5?

Totaly confused.
