Sirius SAT Install on '08 535i?!

has anyone done a partial DIY with Sirius on an LCI?
i can get the hardware from BMW for $390, but i'm afraid to ask the install charges! i thought i saw somewhere that it was plug & play, then just had to take it in to the dealer for iDrive programmig?!
