Sirius Module - Official Installation PDF ?
#1
Hi, does anyone have a copy of the original BMW installation document for a Sirius module on an E60? Most BMW documents start off with the estimated time required for the procedure, so I'd like to show it to my dealer to avoid getting ripped off.
Thanks in advance!

I don't recall ever seeing anyone post the instructions (although many have asked) but you can take a look at the following post to see what many of us paid for our installs:

When you try to tune a Sirius channel, do you hear anything or see anything on the central information display? If so, what do you hear/see?
Thanks.

So I purchased and installed the Sirius module for my 06 525i and took the car to the dealer to be coded. I was careful to select the right module (65126948064 ) for my build date (4/05). My car had the satellite prep so I was under the impression that coding was all that was required. After several hours, the dealer called me and said that they had made several unsuccessful atempts to code the car and according to the shop forman, they needed to "reconfigure the most bus" and install some adapter to make it work. Does this make sense? I get the feeling they don't know what they are doing and are taking the "trial and error" approach.

Yes, the MOST bus is made of fiber optic device connections in a serial loop. Rewiring the fiber optics to include another device in the "loop" is required. Otherwise there is no connection to the new device aka it's out of the loop.
