I'm going to be getting the tune on my car tomorrow morning when Jags arrives in D.C. I will report back on the differences I feel after getting the tune. Also, I have the K&N airfilter and rpi scoop on my car on the moment, and I was thinking about putting my old AFE CAI in to see if the singh tune will actually produce more gains with the more airflow. What do you guys think?

I believe the main issue with the aFe is that it's drawing in hot air which reduces power.

That's true, but do you think the singh tune will adjust the ECU to actually help increase power with the AFE CAI, also since the climate is cold over here in the low 50's now, do you think it would be smart to put it back in before getting the tune? thanks man

Can they do a 328i Tony? Or should I go with that new JB burger put out? Could they be used together? the JB will give me 8-10 hp for 279$ and better throttle response

Jags needs to provide some Dyno stats. Not sure why he doesn't...
Be patient my friend, I will provide some dynos from an independent shop

I'm commenting based on my recollection of what Eloy at RPI told me. It's a misconception for people to think that just because it's colder now or colder where they live that the aFe would work better. Regardless of what the temp is outside, your temp in the engine bay is a lot hotter so the aFe is still sucking in hotter air than what's available outside. A stock airbox would have colder air so it'll still be more beneficial. Example, if it's 50 degrees outside but 80 degrees under the hood, a stock airbox is probably getting the 50 degrees air while the aFe is getting the 80 degrees air. If you it's warmer outside, it'll just be incrementally warmer under the hood.

In your situation, you're probably making more power with the aFe compared to how it was in the summer but not compared to using a stock box, or a stock box with the RPI scoops.

As for the Singh tune, I believe most software accounts for intake air flow and allows the ECU to supply the right amount of fuel to maximize power.

I believe they can. Their price list has an entry for all BMWs from 1996 to present and then other entries for more specific models.

I have no idea how if it can or how it'll work with the JB Burger tune.
