Hi all,
I am looking to buy a set of aftermarket shocks to go with my H&R Springs but I have not found any companies that make shocks for the E60. Does anyone know if there are any shops out there that does make shocks? I know H&R & Koni have coilovers for the E60, but I don't feel like spending that kind of cash right now. Thanks!

Yes Koni has shocks for E60 already. Unfortunately i heard it is made for stock springs and not recommended for lowering springs.

Thanks for the info! I'll see if I can get in touch with Koni and ask if those shocks only work with stock springs.

Check with Ground Control.

While there isn't something off-the-shelf for the E60, I'm pretty sure they can customize a shock/strut setup for your needs.

I was emailing a vendor and he informed me that ground control does not currently have a coilover setup for the e60. Still, they should be able to put a spring and shock combo together for you.

I know you're not interested in coilovers, but TC Kline offers a package with top adjustable konis and vogtland springs. That would be my suggestion if you're willing to spend the money.

BTW, did you ever get those rims fixed?

I was told by the dealer (Budd's Hamilton, ON) that the H & R springs will work with the stock shocks (non-sport) without problem. Is there a reason you feel that you need to change the shocks?

The stock shocks will wear down much quicker with the shorter aftermarket springs.

Bilstein should have shocks for the E60.

Do you know that H&R coilover will start to rust after being used for about 30,000 miles?
