I don't get some people. They want nice wheels, but don't want to pay for them. So they buy used, yet they want the warranty of a new set.

shrug he was wary about buying rims from a manufacturer who is out of business. all i can do is respect his decision but he won't find another set of 3pc rims for my price.

Even if they were still in business, there would be no warranty.

easy pal, i didnt get to where i am today by making uncalculated decisions when spending money. i never asked for a warranty but i was concerned in regards to having to replace a rim if one would happen to fail. comments are welcome when questions are asked but please try to refrain from speaking when you have limited information of the situation. btw, the seller has been nothing but accomidating and understood completely when i declined his offer. your are right though, i do want nice wheels, but i cant find a reason to spend 5-6k on new wheels when i can now pick up the same car im driving for 25k. thank you

no offense taken, i couldnt agree more, but im a 31 yr old man who has already been through 4 new cars/trucks only to watch the the next guy spend half the money on the same car 2 yrs later. when i think about the amount of money wasted on new purchases it makes me want to vomit. after i sold my last truck, H2, for less than half of what the sticker was i vowed to never purchase a new car as my daily driver. dont get me wrong, theres nothing like stepping into a brand new car/truck/boat, i get that. but in the future ill save my new purchases for my weekend toys or my watch collection.

You're absolutely right Gene. While pgtech doesn't seem to fall in that catagory, the statement is true to the words that make it up. I bought my 04 545i for $45K a couple years after its original in-service date to ease the depreciation hit. These boards seemed a bit more...respectful and refined when I joined it in September '07. It seems as though that as the exclusivity of the E60 has eased to incorporate a broader socio-economic base, there has been a marked increase in negative postings. Perhaps it's simply due to volume - many more members now due to decreased aquisition costs + forum popularity (there have been over 14,000 new members added since I joined) = increased exposure to idiot saturations. Call me snobbish, but I do miss the exclusivity and can't wait until the F10 launch.
