Unpacked my rims yesterday so I could go over them with Klasse AIO followed by Klassed SG prior to having them mounted today. When I unpacked the fourth wheel I noticed this divet on the edge which I assume happened during shipping. I am not anxious to ship the rim back and wait another few weeks to put these on, so I am going to look into getting it repaired this morning. I've had sever rims including my BBS Competition rims repaired and afterwards could not tell the difference.

That's very strange. I bought a set of OEM 166's and my 4th rim had the same problem. Since I'm so anal about my car, I had them shipped back and got a replacement.

Where did you buy yours from? I wonder if you got mine

If you are going to get it repaired instead of shipping it back, and they were insured, file a claim with the shipping agent. Was there damage to that particular box the damaged wheel was in?

Took the wheel to "The Rim Guy" today, and he was not anxious to repair the defect. He said the finish on these wheels is very touchy, more so than my former BBS M3 Competition wheels. I ended up sending the wheel back. Veheh at Crevier BMW was gracious. Only problem is another wait when I thought I would have the wheels on today.

For me, it took two returns by my dealer to get a second undamaged rear style 101. Personally, I would return the wheel, but I can understand your reluctance to do so.

Opps, now I see that you did so. You'll be happy that you did. I hope, unlike my case, that your next one is undamaged. Fortunately, I had a two day turn around time each time.
