So I am getting my M tech Front put on so I stopped by the body shop to discuss FMIC options. Seems there is so much shit in the way, it might be impossible to complete. UNLESS just completely cutting and destroying the front end to custom fit a intercooler, it is REALLY tight in there. Only other ideas is upgrading the radiator or finding other ways to get cool air to the motor.
There is always METH injection but it seems to extreme for my taste. I might just run the chip with downpipes when the weather is cool, and not rag on the car when it is smoking hot out!
The pics show the room to work with, not much! BIG tom intercooler, god bless the kid who fit it in there in the UK. Props!

Assuming you're willing to trade some structural integrity for performance, just get in there and cut a bunch of crap out and make it fit. It's not like you won't be able to get replacement parts for the pieces you cut if/when you decide to revert your car back to stock. Looks like fun.

Everytime i put a FMIC on a japanese car thats what we did, cut the hell out of everything to fit it in there, lol, and if you can weld you should still be able to save some structural integrity.

Well, its not going to be a show car, it will be an everyday car, if someone hits my bumper I dont want the engine to drop out with a bumper tap lol...
Ya a welder would be the way to go, the only problem is a lot of things are in the way. This is no cheap custom job, this could cost me to get people to start doing custom work on my car. Well see.
A 335 FMIC was the way I was leaning towards, its just the oil lines are in the way. Custom retrofit would be a pain. Plus the motorsports intercooler is 1000$. Thats retarded prices, kind of like active works said 1650$ they'll make me a custom one woo hoo!
