Default Seeing a lot of negative comments about Vossen. How are you E60 owners liking them?

A buddy of mine who's affiliated with several social car and media blogs happened to repost this on his instagram. Apparently there has been a considerable amount of unsatisfied customers of Vossen and one group in particular is trying to take them down. Not sure how successful they'll be, but It looks like they're pretty motivated. I've never owned a set, but from what I've seen in the past and read regarding their wheel specs they seem to be structurally poor and overpriced for non-forged wheels. Anyways, just wanted to see what e60 owners were experiencing, if any. I wouldn't advise purchasing a set unless they are covered under warranty

that second wheel is tore up....did the driver hit something, or was that just from driving down the road?

Yes they do seem overpriced for cast wheels (which swayed me away). Didn't know they had quality issues though.

I remember this member having them and even did a video promotion for them

I don't know too much about wheels like a lot of you do... but I'd imagine that there are bounds to be shitty defective ones.

Just heard of a client describing how his tire was losing air but he couldn't find any leak on the exterior of his tire, I suggested that it's the wheel damaging from the inside, but he didn't think so because they're Volks...

After taking it into the shop, guess what, them Volks are bent on the inside. Shit happens.

Damn those wheels are jacked up. That second one looks like someone had a bad track day or something.

I think these are daily driving issues ppl are posting up. Don't know if anyone would dare track their ride with cheapo wheels.

A lot of these posts on their instagram are kinda tacky, but many also share some real life comments from upset owners and even previous employees who can attest to their claims.

Instagram

This one is kinda crazy! I can't even imagine the "oh sh!t" feeling one would experience having gone through this

Holy crap! Are those the CV1s? I was considering those when I was looking for wheels!

I also saw this on Instagram, kind of crazy. Yes everyone has a few bad batches, but the amount I saw was not just a few, not only that, the wheels crumbled.

Wheels bend yes, especially with low profile tires, but cracking and falling apart should not be happening with high priced wheels.

yea, before I came across this I really thought the reason why the price for Vossen was starting to creep up toward the more legit wheel companies was because of better R&D and designs. Maybe they skipped out on the R&D and focused more on design.

From what I've read tho they have been pretty fast in terms of getting a replacement wheels out to customers who become vocal about their displeasures. Apparently if they replace the bad wheel with another bad wheel they figure they won't lose the customer.
