the scoops are made from alluminium to save weight. Since race precision is all about performance and racing they utilize the lightest materials possible to reduce weight. I have the RPI gt race exhaust on both my vehicles and am perfectly happy with them.

As matter of fact I raced a dinan m5 yesterday 5 times and he got smoked every single time by my RPI m5.

Thanks that makes sense, I didn't know they were aluminum. Thank you all for the replies regarding the exhaust I am going to order it ASAP. I have my Velocity on the way so going to install that first

I posted pics of a DYI of the scoops.
I did feel that they were flimsy with only the 3 screws they provided, so I tapped on more in on each scoop to firm them up to my liking.

After having them installed now for a few months, they haven't moved / bent / folded.

Hope this helps.

Just got the exhaust installed. OMG!!! Amazing sound!! I was a lil worried that it would be too loud, but it's perfect. Haven't really opened her up yet, but I may have to take the long way home today I will get some videos up soon.

Don't be reluctant about their exhuast. RPI is a top-notch
company who will only deliver products that truly add
performance to your car. Just search the forum,
you'll find numerous threads from satisfied customers

Agreed that this is a cheap mod with the results produced.

You can always just screw this to your front grill if you want super strength?

THE NEW HOWITZER SCOOP. $119.95. But wait, there's more. Buy now and receive a free insulting and inappropriate post courtesy of yours truly!
