Could I get some more people who have driven in the rain with the scoop confirm that no damage has occured?

I was actually planning to go mudding with my car...

So there really is no risk?
Mud Whomping in a 545i??? Sure why not, have fun and don't forget a cell phone so they can find you to tow your car out!!

BTW, no risk at all! Short of being submerged!

Everyone says there is no risk but after letting water pour over the grill and watching it drip through the grill I am just not sure.
Have you actually been through some bad rain?

Here in sunny Southern California??? Actually yes, but you already have an intake there, and it would have to be a sort of "Magic Bullet" to make all the twists and turns to ever accumulate enough water to be an issue! So don't worry and go enjoy your car Junior!!

Great............now wait till it rains and go out driving, come back and open your Air Filter box and let us know if you got a gallon of water slushing around in there.

JK....enjoy your new mod.

Actually just got back from a quick spin. Didn't get past 40 so I will have to go another time.
I can't really drive right now cause my arms are KILLING me from working out. I will do a real test tomorrow.

I am most likely imagining this but does the scoop make your intake a little louder?
Also, since the air is moving faster, is it colder? (doesn't have enough time to really heat up)
