PM flyingpuck regarding an exhaust cone that could potentially reduce the droning. ![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)
You can read more from Dave's postings,

Ok I PM'd flyingpuck about the cone. It's just that I am worried that no one has the drone that I do.

Have you checked to make sure that the exhaust was hung on the rubber mounts properly?

It [droning] may be a subjective matter

Ok, I just took a look into the exhaust. I found that each cylinder has a bump. Is this normal?
Sorry for the annoying questions, I just want to track down this droning problem.

Is this a cat-back or just the muffler you have from RPI? If you have a straight through muffler like this, there is bound to be some droning. Your possible solutions would be to add resonators or replace the muffler .

Dynamat is cheap. I had to do my entire underbelly of my car too, since I have all 3 sections and it was pretty cheap. I think I paid around $140 for enough material to layer this entire area. I put the mat in so only the outside would sound like a fighter jet was flying by. I didn't need the passengers inside to know a F-16 was on top of them.
