I got the RPi Exhaust for my 545i but at 1700-2000 there is some pretty bad droning, and since this is where the RPMs sit when acceleration in D the droning can get somewhat annoying.
C told me to install some Dynamat above the heat shield under the car by the exhaust and under the trunk mat, but it's very expensive and I have heard it doesn't help too much with the droning.
So is there any way to get rid of the droning other than Dynamat? And does the Dynamat even work with droning?
Thank you
-Krozi

I just got the RPi installed on my car and I don't have droning...maybe I have to break it in, but is it really bad? Dynamat would be the way to go. I want my exhaust louder so I MIGHT take out somethings I shouldn't
Give me a call or PM if you need help.

I have driven it for 300 miles now. I thought the droning would go away. You don't have any droning at all?
Krozi do you even know what droning sounds like? Mine doesnt have any droning whatsoever. Have you ever had an exhaust that did drone before? Like a mag muffler?

I don't have an exhaust on my BMW, but on my Armada I have a MagnaFlow and I have the same problem. Got the Zoomers and it cut the drone down about 60%.

Huh...I would try the dyno mat....You can get a role for $100...Its like putting a sticker on...Its pretty easy...Just clean the surface first...With my windows up, I can barely hear my exhaust....If I turn the radio up a quarter of the way, I cant hear the exhaust at all...Its pretty loud when standing outside and seeing someone drive by in your car...G/l...

+1 with my windows up i hear more engine than exhaust
I dunno, I have zero drone and everyone else has zero drone, this may just be a case where the kid is nervous about his exhaust again
