Lose hp/torque at high end speed, engine will run at higher temp (not much). Remember that the hotter the exhaust gas, the louder the droning.

Do a couple really fast acceleration and high speed, and you'll notice your drone will be louder.
Thanks for the info I will try whipping through the neighborhood doing 150 J/K

I think I am going to steer away from the exhaust cone and just deal with the occasional droning

Actually, I have gotten used to it pretty good. And I think the drone might have even subsided a little

Ugh, I suppose that round 2 (or 3) is on!

But I do see PTL's point here.

That drone you recorded would not be for me. But I am sure that many love that kind of sound given how aggressive it sounds.
