My Ride: BMW 545iA Black Sapphire
Model Year: 2005
Engine: 545i
Go for 17" or even 18" for summer - keep the 16" for winter tyres....
If you can go the extra buck it's worth it.
Above rim is just OK.

My Ride: E60 530d Sport - Carbon Black, Black Dakota Leather, Media Pack (satnav, bluetooth, CD changer), heated font seats, through load
Not too long ago the standard wheel was 14" and steel. Alloys were something you added after-market
Now 16" alloys look so ordinary. Having had 18s for a while, I wouldn't go back to 16s. 17s are a reasonable compromise between looks and ride.
Seem some pics of 22" rims, which is going just too far. Unless you never hit a pothole.

The standard wheels are even better then the ones in the picture.. I've seen them several times in real life and they look even smaller then the standard rims..
If you have money to burn get the 17 inch wheels.. They will look much better!

Hello
I think its quite ok. At least better looking than the other 16" style (forgot the #). I hv the same wheels on my 520, still I swapped them for the larger 17" 5-spoke stock wheels (traded with another member on this board). Now the car looks perfect.
