Looks great, bro! Sounds like a similar journey of mine! I too decided that AWD was a necessity when buying. It was the best thing I ever did. Especially with Ohio winters.

Good to see another sweet looking Xi on here.

Also, what are the "welcome lights"??? Is this when you turn the car off and just the ignition is on?

Welcome lights are the lights that light up when you unlock the car.

Very interesting choice of first mods

I'd say that LCI headlights and tails as well might be one of the most under appreciated mods

Looking great

It's pretty high on the to-do list! I did my front brakes two weeks ago.. doing my front ones this weekend. Really wanna get those in before it gets too cold.
But if time permits over the weekend, I'll probably do the shadowline during then.

Looking at the picture in your sig.. Looks like you already have the shadowline trim, so you don't need to do this
Plasti-Dip comes off really easily, if you want it to. It's so far been very very strong against any chips or drive-through high-pressure carwashes.

yes...my sig..

It's old! I just haven't changed it yet

I currently have a 2008 535xi with the damn chrome. Would love to get them black without spending a fortune.

Is the trim easy to get off? Is there a DIY somewhere on this forum on how to remove the trim?

I love the white bro. Check out my DIY for shadowline vinyl from a few weeks ago. It's not a great write up, but it gives an idea if you were interested in the vinyl option as well... https://5series.net/forums/topic/118...ine-vinyl-diy/
