Could be a faulty LED. I had to replace a pair of license plate LED that I put in with resistors in just 3 days. Thought LEDs were suppose to last longer? I dono, but try replacing the LED. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

Led are polarity sensitive. I don't know what type you have, is it possible to wire it the wrong way?

Yeah just switch them around. But if it was working before then stopped working. Then you got a bad LED. just replace them.
