My Ride: 2005 530i...just bought so in progress...dont know where to start???
Want to do:
LCI Tails, Xenon Headlights, Tints, Wheels, Trunk and Roof Spoiler, iPod Adapter...the list goes on.
hey everyone...im buying a NAVTV setup for my NON-nav car and I was wondering if I can swap in the 8.8" screen and use it for the DVD and Backup Camera and everything...and will it still work with my idrive without having nav??
If this is possible which screens will work...anything out of a 5 series?? 7 series??

yes
but the only full screen you will have when you play input1 to 3
on the idrive meniu input.....the screen will stil be 6.8"
i got one(8.8") from i 2004 5-series from ebay 400$

ok cool...the fitment from the 7 series is the same also??? there is a 8.8 out of a 7 local to me and its only 250 bucks negotiable...

Your iDrive display will not be in the centre but will be on one side, you may not like the way it looks. In terms of the NAVTV the smaller display has the better aspect ratio which is why BMW's own ACM will only display a 6.5" image (centred) even on a 8.8" screen

hmm...thanks bruce..so basically I should just leave it alone and thats it...i need to find a good backup camera...did you ever order yours from that chinese company?
