Hi all -
Am in talks with a partner to produce a replacement component for our existing e60 / e61 center ashtray set up.

Essentially wanting to pull the entire existing ashtray unit out and simply create a new "face" with USB charging ports. Eliminating the need for the ashtray to be open to charge anything.

Trying to gauge if this just drives me crazy or if this group might be interested?

Concept came from a product developed for e30 - picture for reference.

 

Is this pre-lci or lci? both are different trims

A large chunk were fitted with the 6FL option which was a USB in the center console armrest which also charged your phone
