Hello All,

I bought a used roof rack for my 2004 525i off of ebay. Unfortunately it is missing the rubber pad that goes between the rack and the body. I have contact my local dealer and they said they could not find the part. Anybody know where I could get parts for this rack, or know who makes the rack for bmw?

I had the same problem. I ended up buying a new rack because the dealer does not supply that, nor does Thule. =/

It sucks, but that seems like the only solution. I have an extra rack with no rubbers either.

Are you sure that Thule doesn't make the right rack, I see a bunch of options here http://www.autoanything.com/brands/102A373.aspx

How about Yakima?

Except bird poo!

In all seriousness, I've had the BMW rack for two seasons and I've no problems with it at all. Its OEM so its no problem.

Then again, I wouldn't mess with it either. I put racks on my wife's Camry, but no way on the 60. The extra travel space is needed though.

Why not just make the part yourself? I mean, all you need is a piece of rubber.

Actually, its like a real custom piece of rubber. Its hard to explain, but i'll try to take a picture whne i get a chance. Once you see the rubber, you'll understand how hard it is.

That just sounded so wrong.
