...oh god - am in a bit of a hurry because I will be ordering a new car tomorrow. if i could get a 520d with the shift points of a SAT, then i have my dream car.... i just hope hoon can give us some more feedback and info by tomorrow..

I am sorry but I cannot really confirm if that module is all that makes difference between SAT and normal electronic automatic transmission. I think you should ask this question to a more mechanically knowledgeable person. One thing for sure is that the 'Sport' button works perfectly.

When you say the sport button "works perfectly," can you describe what it does/changes? (Hopefully you mean something more than just lighting up...)

approx ?350 to go from normal auto to SAT (incl enhanced features) -- now that would be a very interesting mod

obviously no paddle shifter, but regardless it would pay off alone because of the shift points in sports mode... Hoon, hope you have some good news for a number of people here

When the sport button is pressed, the steering wheel gets much tightend up and heavy.
Also, the throttle response becomes very sporty.

I am sorry but I don't have the part numbers because I didn't order the parts myself. I had my installer did everything.
