Installed today...some double sided tape, a little black silicone, a couple of strategic drops of crazy glue, a helper to help hold it all down and bam it was done.

Wow very nice making me want to do the same. You used a lot of supplies, don't you just use double sided tape that's it. Whats with the black silicone and the glue?

by the way, did you have to put something on top of it as a weight as it set? how long before you can drive the car and how long before you can wash it etc...

Yes, it comes with the 3M Super strong (red) double sided tape, but to do the job right (IMO) you need to add some stuff. The black silicone was used in the crease between the trunk spoiler and the truck lid to give it a more "molded" look. It was also used at the ends of the roof spoiler to fill the gap between it and the rear window trim. I used the three drops of crazy glue on the window trim under on each side of the roof spoiler, so I would not have to stand there an hold it down for hours while the tape cured.

The trunk spoiler did not need anything weighted on it. You do have to be careful to dry fit it so you know exactly where you want it to go once the tape is on. On the roof spoiler (because I used the glue) we just held down the edges (where the glue was) for a couple minutes until it set then walked away. The silicone itself sets in one hour and cures in 24, once it cures you can wash away. I didn't drive the car until the next day, but if I had needed to I would've been comfortable driving it after the initial silicone set time. A tip if you use the silicone...use a rag wet with rubbing alcohol to clean up and set the silicone into the crease perfectly for a professional look.

In these pics I tried to show where I used the glue (on the roof spoiler) and also where the black silicone was applied (on both).

Looks nice!! I thought you could not just use the 3M adhesive on the ACS style trunk spoilers. I was looking to pick mine up from another seller on eBay... euro-body-kits. They ship from Torrance, CA. They have good eBay feebback... anyone ever use them??? He told me that his spoilers are made in Taiwan. His price is $240 shipped and they are prepainted with adhesive included.

So on the trunk spoiler you put the black silicone along the edge to fill the gap between the trunk lid and spoiler? Did you apply any silicone under the spoiler along with the tape?
