I have the 530i and went with the Borla for the deeper idle and cruising sounds. WOT is nice too.

any resonance? does the whole car shake at low-mid rpms?
and its deep at cruising speeds? does it have that I6 light tone at cruising?
Ive seen these vids too, and its no offense to you at all, but most cameras have crappy mics the sound is never what it sounds like on camera.

Some resonance in the low RPMs, below 1500, so occasional resonance when moving around in the city. Vehicle does not shake, but vibration can be felt through floor, seat, and steering wheel. Not an unpleasant sensation, just a reminder of what's installed. At highway speeds, the RPMs are out of the resonance range, so it just feels like a louder, more free exhaust system.
Cruising sounds like an I6. A little louder than stock.
Borla exhaust sounds louder at the tail/outside, than inside the cabin, as it should be. The idea is to let the exhaust gas evacuate the system as quickly as possible and let the exhaust sound and heat dissipate outside the vehicle.
Think of an audio equalizer that slopes up to the left. Low frequencies are attenuated, high frequencies are reduced, then turn up the master volume a little. That is the Borla signature exhaust sound. The Borla mufflers are packed with fiberglass. Immediately after installation, it sounds quite a bit louder than stock. Sound level gradually reduces after a few days, a few weeks, as the fiberglass is "compacted" based on the exhaust gas flow pattern and back pressure.
