I totally agree.
If started by accident/child in a closed garage/space, It is very dangerous.
Some can foul play with it to harm. It happened somewhere in USA & a girlfriend kileed a millionare.
I do not recoomend it either and I do not have it.

I like to add here that BMW should make option: "Remote car/ battery warm up" available for US.
It is available in Europe, very nice feature. I saw it on bmw.com site under options/accessories.
As a fact there are very nice optiins and accessories for europe models.

its the best after market option i put on my diesel PU. for those that dont have garages in the winter you'll love it. all US after market provideres cant connect to the bmw after about 99. i would get it if offered even for my garaged cars.

I thought it is available in and for Euro BMWs.

Not only what the other poster said about starting in the garage and problems with children but also pullution,unnecessary fuel consumption and BMW doesn't recomend you idling you car to warm it up, so the manual says.
