Isn't the SB guy in China? I was e-mailing back and forth with him instantly, and I got my part in two days.
As far as the Carbon Fiber, it takes skill to build pieces with it. While "reputable" companies might be more expensive, you often get what you pay for. Paying more for a product you only have to deal with once, can be a lot cheaper than saving a little up front and having to replace it over and over.

I agree with the "you get what you pay for" mentality.....thing is these cost me $145 + shipping! :thumbsdown:

I had the Bimmian carbon fiber door pillars on my last 550i and they were HORRIBLE. Had problems with 2 sets of them so I would stay clear.
