RED/CLEAR LED or RED/SMOKE LED Tail Lights?

These are my O.E.M. lights on my 2008 550i I took the factory clear lights and smoked them myself and re-clear coated the whole head light so you cannot feel the difference and it gives a better smoke color then just buying the smoked lens.

BTW, how long did you have them till now? Wondering if the LED bulbs will ever burn out? If that's the case, any idea of how to replace them?
Knock on wood; I hope I won't have to replace any of the LED's because I won't know how.

I am about to order a set of aftermarket LED tailights for my jet black e60, and I'm really stuck on which one to choose RED/CLEAR or RED/SMOKE, everyones opinions are taken into consideration, thanks guys.
